I had never considered using a “Delivery Skipper” before but due to my Wife’s hospitalisation and the need to get my boat to Brittany for the season I contacted Torr Marine to help me take her from Plymouth to Benodet. Tony was very accommodating to my dilemma and gave me several options based on whether I would be available or not. As it happens I was available and the delivery was completed safely, on time and on budget with what was a memorable passage. I would have no hesitation in using Torr Marine again either to go on further with our cruise, or if I decided, to come back to the UK and to recommend them to anyone else. Oh, and the home cooked food was delicious and a real bonus.

"Since buying ‘Kittiwake’, a Dufour 455, at the beginning of this year, we have frequently called on Tony to skipper her and help us to improve our boat handling skills. Tony is not only an excellent seaman, but also a most congenial sailing companion. He balances the art of mixing in and helping out with discretion and consideration for his clients privacy. In spring 2010, we will be moving ‘Kittiwake’ to Malta and have asked Tony to make the passage with us - the fact that we are looking forward to having him on board for several weeks at a stretch, speaks for itself! "Tony was recommended to us by the local Dufour Dealer. We had to move our Dufour 36 from Plymouth to her new permanent base at Camaret-sur-Mer, Brittany. I had not crossed the channel as a skipper before nor had my wife. Tony’s presence gave us a degree of security and assurance. The way we planned it was flexible: I would do the passage planning and navigation and Tony would oversee and check the details, this would give me confidence in my abilities for the future. During the passage we had some great sailing, thanks to Tony’s sail trimming tips. During the night watch a French minesweeper on manoeuvres made us change tacks a few times. At the infamous Channel De Four entrance with the Le Four lighthouse on our beam, thick fog descended, Tony used the radar to help guide us through with no problems. We had left Plymouth at 1700 on the Thursday and arrived at our destination 26 hours later. My wife and I were tired and excited to be in our new mooring and thankful we had Tony onboard for the passage. His professionalism and knowledge were key in making our passage a pleasurable and safe experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending Tony’s services anytime".

Hiya Tony
Just to let you know that I passed my Yachtmaster last week. It was probably the most terrifying 10 hours of my life!! And I've had two wives!!!
I'd like to thank you for the 'take your time, cool head' stuff you showed me cos conditions were not perfect.

Many thanks for your help last week. I obviously could not have done it without you and it
will definitely be a memorable experience (a great one).
I really learnt a lot from you and I appreciated your patience and "cool, calm and collected"
approach towards things.
Many thanks again and I will be sure to recommend you!
Kindest regards,

Hi Tony
I just wanted to thank you for last week not only for a great time but for your patience and understanding. I learnt a lot and caught up on a lot of forgotten terms and subjects, it was a great all round experience.
