Professional Skipper - Yacht Deliveries - Tuition/Practical Training

Professional Skipper 

As an RYA-qualified Ocean Yachtmaster with commercial endorsements, I hold personal liability insurance that enables me to skipper sailing yachts up to 200gt anywhere in the world.   I can provide assistance to owners such as helping re-locate to foreign ports or  familiarisation with new vessels and, if requested, tuition and training on their own vessels.  However, if you want to try sailing, or just see if the family would enjoy sailing, I can arrange  a charter yacht and skipper so that you can experience yacht cruising or racing.

Tuition/Practical Training

Holding a Yachtmaster Instructor qualification I can teach the full suite of courses at RYA-recognised sailing schools but I am happy to provide coaching and tuition at any level on a freelance basis.

I can also provide theoretical and practical training in all aspects of navigation (chart work, tides, rule of the road, etc.) including, on suitable passages, opportunities to practice sun-sights  - be prepared for those situations when the GPS falls over!  

Torr marine is fully insured and would be happy to quote for any delivery.  All Torr Marine skippers are RYA Yachtmaster qualified  and very experienced so you can be assured of the highest quality service combined with professional care of your vessel.

If you want to maximise your holiday cruising and save the 'slog', let us locate your yacht in the area you want to explore this year.  Conversely, if you run out of time for any reason,  a call or email to Torr Marine will allow us to start making arrangments to get your yacht home as soon as possible.

Insurers will stipulate minimum crew levels so we also have a pool of qualified and experienced mates and crew to draw on.
